UNDER EMBARGO TILL WEDNESDAY 9 APRIL 15:00

Amsterdam – April 9, 2025 – From club nights to concert halls, from installations to artist talks: FIBER Festival marks its 10-year anniversary with a multidisciplinary programme at the intersection of digital art, ecology and experimental music. From 29 May to 1 June 2025, the city of Amsterdam will transform into a four-day festival inviting audiences to reimagine the relationship between technology and nature, human and machine. Under the theme Wildness, FIBER explores the urgent need for rewilding in our environments and in our ways of thinking.

Wildness: Art in a Time of Reconnection

What does it mean to be wild in an age of climate stress, technological acceleration, and social polarization? FIBER Festival 2025 places Wildness at its core. Not only as an ecological concept, but also as a cultural, mental and societal construct. What is wildness? Which art, music and research practices explore themes related to wildness? Or even more compelling: how can we practise or embody wildness ourselves?

A Decade of FIBER

Founded in 2011 as a platform for audiovisual culture, FIBER launched its first festival edition in 2015. Over the past decade, it has evolved into a leading force in the international field of digital art, experimental electronic music and critical technological reflection. The 2025 anniversary edition presents already more than 40 acts, across 9 locations in Amsterdam, with more acts to be announced soon.

The festival programme consists of live concerts, club nights, installations, talks, workshops and immersive performances, including several Dutch premieres each year .
