FIBER op One Of These Days festival, 8 en 9 december 2012
FIBER neemt deel aan 'One Of These Days; A Festival Of Festivals' (Blackpool, Verenigd Koninkrijk)
FIBER zal een selectie van aanstormend Nederlands talent in digitale kunsten presenteren, parallel aan vermaarde, internationale artiesten. FIBER’s aandeel in de festiviteiten zal plaatsvinden op zondag 9 december.
Het gehele festival zal plaatsvinden binnen de grootse ruimten van het historische erfgoed gebouw “The Winter Gardens” te Blackpool, Verenigd Koninkrijk. De schaal en pure architecturale rijkdom van de zaal zorgen voor een levendige, theatrale en onderhoudende ervaring voor zowel publiek als artiest.
Vandaag heeft de organisatie achter “One Of These Days” de lijst met alle participerende festivals bekendgemaakt aan de internationale pers. Naast FIBER zullen andere festivals als MELT!, Free Rotation en Glastonbury’s Dance Village hun visie presenteren aan de hand van een programma met locale- en internationale bands, acts en performances. FIBER werkt aan een programma met audiovisuele performances en visueel versterkte hedendaagse elektronische muziek. In de komende weken zal meer informatie over de line-up worden onthuld.

Over FIBER
FIBER is an Amsterdam based interdisciplinary organisation, that presents new developments in audiovisual art, digital culture and the experimental and deeper corners of electronic music. The team works year round with a vibrant network of artists, designers, researchers and developers, who aspire to introduce mind bending experiences to a broad audience. Special attention goes out to the support of up and coming talents across numerous creative disciplines.
Next to small-scale events and exhibitions, the team organises the recurring FIBER Festival in Amsterdam, which brings together a diverse crowd of new talent, established artists and curious visitors. FIBER aims to explore hybrid forms of art, the power of media- and network technology, and encourages an exchange of views between the makers and their audience.
